Heads of Department, Institute and Centre Contacts 2007 - 2008 The role of the Head of Department is to provide leadership within a department, to be responsible for the work of the department and to ensure that the fulfilment of the overall responsibilities and obligations placed on the School as an institution is facilitated at departmental level.
Departmental Tutors Each department has a Departmental Tutor, who in addition to your tutor can give you advice on more complex academic and personal issues. The Departmental Tutor plays a central role in co-ordinating undergraduate teaching and tutorial arrangements within the department.
