If you are a first-time visitor or think you might need specialist help, please aim to come to the Library between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Term time and Easter vacation opening hours

Main Library

Library open: Everyday - Monday to Sunday 8am to midnight.
Staffed services open*: Monday to Friday 9am-8pm, Saturday and  Sunday 11am-6pm
*During unstaffed opening hours, access is for existing Library cardholders only and the Library is staffed by Security.

• Opening hours differ during exam time, public holidays and around Easter week. At those times, details will be posted in the Library and on this website.

Archives Reading Room

Monday to Thursday 10am-8pm
Friday 10am-5pm
Saturday 11am-6pm
