
Search by Author and Title
If you want to find details of a particular book, such as a book on your
reading list, the quickest way is usually to search by a combination of author
and title. You can search by author and title in several ways.
You can do a simple Search Everything search in Quick Search, using
the author’s last name and a keyword from the title.
Or you can use the form provided in Advanced Search.
- Click on the Advanced Search tab to display the Advanced Search
page.
- Type the name of the author of the book you are looking for in the first Search
For box. You can type the first name as well as the last name, but last
names are usually sufficient.
- Ensure that Author Name is selected in the Search In box.
- Move to the next Search For box and type one or more words from the
title.
- Ensure that Title is selected in the Search In box.
- Ensure that all of these is selected as the search type for title.
- Click on the Search button to start the search and display a list
of references.

Activity: Search by Author and Title
- Click on Advanced Search to display the Advanced Search page.
- Type bhimani in the first Search For box.
- Type management accounting in the second Search For box.
- Select all of these from the drop down list of search types.
- Click the Search button to start the search and display a list of items
which match your search terms.
