Library Catalogue: Introduction
 

Aims and Objectives
 

This course has been designed as a self-paced self-teaching manual. It contains information and descriptions of the functions you will be learning, as well as exercises for you to work through.

If at any time you have any problems with the exercises, you can ask the Information Desk in the Library.

 

LSE Library Catalogue
 

You can use the main Library Catalogue to search for books and journals within most of the Library's collections. The Catalogue also enables you to check your loans, or to renew and reserve items. You can also keep track of useful books you’ve found. On completion of this basic training course you will be able to:

This course assumes you already have basic computer skills and are familiar with Internet Explorer. If not, you should attend the course Internet Explorer 5.5: Introduction (one of the courses available in the Foundation Skills sessions) first.
