Advanced Search
 

From the Advanced Search tab, you can build your own searches using whatever information you have to hand. If you only know one or two words from the title, you can try using these. You can search by ISBN, or by publisher name. You can search by author and title for a known book. You can search by key words or phrases. 

 

 

 

All of these finds records that contain each of the search terms you type in. 

Any of these finds records containing one or more of your search terms. 

As a phrase treats your search terms as a precise phrase and finds records containing these words in the same order.

Activity: Advanced Search
 

  1. Click on the Search button on the Library Catalogue menu bar. 
  2. Click on the Advanced Search tab.
  3. Click on all of these to see the different types of search available.
  4. Click on the down arrow in the Search in: box to see the different parts of the record you can search.
