Below are the general terms and conditions of locker hire.

Book lockers are available for LSE students to hire, from the start of the academic session. Students are required to pay a £10 deposit for the locker key and a £10 (non-refundable) administration charge. Book lockers are issued for the academic year and are non- renewable or transferable.

Users will be required to sign up to the terms and conditions for use and to return keys by the end of June (undergraduates) and September (post graduates).

All students who apply for a Library locker need to abide by the following terms and conditions:

·         Your £10 deposit is refundable only, if the locker is vacated and the key is returned on time in its original condition by the specified dates.

·         The contents of lockers not vacated on time will be removed and held for a maximum of 1 month, after which it will be disposed of.

·         We charge £5 to replace lost or damaged keys.

·         Routine Staff checks will be carried out on the lockers.

·         Only Library material that has been issued to you may be stored in your locker.

·         If un-issued Library material is found in your locker during a routine staff check, you will lose the locker. Your Library borrowing rights will be suspended until you return the locker key.

·         For health and safety reasons we ask you please not to store perishable items in your locker e.g. food.

·         The Library accepts no responsibility for property stored in book lockers.

·         Lockers are allocated for the current academic session and are not renewable or transferable. To use a locker again, please apply along with other Library users in the same way.

Lost locker keys

If you lose your locker key you can order a replacement by emailing your details to library.locker.enquiries@lse.ac.uk . It will take a minimum of three working days for a new key to be cut. The cost of a replacement key is £5. While you are waiting for your key you may borrow the master key from the library service counter for short periods of time.
