European Union

The Library is one of 40 European Documentation Centres (EDCs) in the UK.

EDCs are part of European wide network of information services. EDCs provide access to the publications and documents of the EU and are intended primarily to support academic study and research on Europe.
The Library has been an EDC since 1964, but publications have been collected since the establishment of the European Coal and Steel Community in 1953.

Visiting the EDC

The EDC is located within the Library of the London School of Economics.

The EDC is open to visitors and LSE staff and students during the Library opening hours. Please see our admissions policy.
