Data Library Collection

The Data Library provides a rapidly expanding electronic resource archive along with specialist advice and support from the Data Librarian.  For an overview of what’s in the Data Library, and who can use it, please read the Introduction section first.

The Data Library service is aimed to help PhD students, contract researchers and academic staff to locate and extract statistical data.

Please look at the overview of our collections to browse datasets. Please note that many resources are only accessible to LSE staff and students.

 

Data Collections (mostly restricted to LSE staff and students)

Microdata - Large scale government surveys, longitudinal data and opinion polls

Aggregated Data - Socio economic indicators from organizations such as OECD, EUROSTAT, IMF, World Bank. Includes Census data

Financial Databases - Information on markets, companies, exchange rates

Geographic Information Resources, GIS - Covering EU admin boundaries and Ordnance Survey data

International Data Centres and Statistical Institutes - Government statistics online

Free Data resources - Includes National Statistics Offices
