Admission to the Archives Reading Room
Holders of an LSE Library card can access the Archives Reading Room on the Lower Ground Floor of the Library.
Academics, students and members of the public without an LSE Library card are also welcome to visit the Reading Room, but you will need a Library permit. To get this you will need to complete a self registration form prior to your visit. In addition, on arrival at the Library you must provide some form of personal photo ID and confirmation of your home address, such as a recent utility bill or a bank statement that is no more than three months old. Once the identification has been checked you will be issued with a temporary Library pass.
