Transcripts for alumni

Transcripts will normally be sent within three working days. You should add postal time to estimate when the transcripts will reach you. Please check the following list to find out what you need to do to order a transcript.

Students who graduated in or after 1993: Please order a transcript via LSE for You.

Students who graduated before 1993: Please email registry@lse.ac.uk to request a transcript. Please state your full name, date of birth, degree title, year of graduation and the postal address you want the transcript sent to. Please note that that the records for degrees awarded before the late 1980s are incomplete so we cannot provide details of individual modules studied or individual module grades achieved.

MSc in Health Policy, Planning and Financing: Students who graduated after the 2002/03 academic year should email registry@lse.ac.uk to request a transcript. Students who graduated before the 2002/03 academic year should contact the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine to request a transcript.

MPhil/PhD students: For proof of student status, current students should print off their LSE for You certificate of registration. For confirmation of degrees awarded, alumni should email researchdegrees@lse.ac.uk.

Visiting research students: Current students requesting a certificate of registration or past students requesting proof of attendance should email researchdegrees@lse.ac.uk.

Summer School students: Please email summer.school@lse.ac.uk.

External Study students: Please email externalstudy@lse.ac.uk.

If you have a debt to the School: You should contact the Credit Control Office at credit.control@lse.ac.uk. You will not be able to order a transcript before your debt is cleared.

Transcripts contain the following information:

Your full name
Your date of birth
Your student number
The title and subject of your course
The class of degree or other award obtained
The details of the modules studied
Start date
Completion date
Graduation date
Language of instruction and assessment

Fee: Transcripts are provided free of charge to current students and recent alumni (within one calendar year of the official end date of your course). Other alumni will be charged £5 per transcript, except for those who graduated before 1993 for whom the fee is waived.
