Department of Statistics 

Welcome to the Department of Statistics at the London School of Economics & Political Science. The department currently offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Statistics.

Research interests include risk and stochastics, time series analysis and social statistics. The Centre for the Analysis of Time Series (CATS)  is also based in the department as is the Decision Support and Risk Group.

Autumn 2004 saw the launch of the MSc Risk and Stochastics, now in its fourth year, along with the Risk and Stochastics Group.

The Risk and Stochastics Day 2008 took place on 19th March. It followed on from the success of last years event in which high profile speakers from the UK and overseas, presented recent advances in the area of Risk and Stochastics.
