The SDU's Summer School for Staff Programme 2008 has had an excellent take-up rate, however a few places are still available on most of our events so don't hesitate to contact us if you haven't booked yet. We will also look into running second dates for events that have a particularly high demand.

Equal Skills is delivered by the IT Training Team, and promoted in conjunction with the SDU  NEW!

EqualSkills is a fun, informal and uncomplicated introduction to computers and the Internet.

Starting with basic skills, like how to switch on a computer and use a mouse, you will go on to learn how to create a document in Word, send and receive email and search the Internet; skills you will be able to use both at work and at home.

You will be required to attend 4 workshops and work through a workbook with assistance from a member of the IT Training team. You will also be able to phone, email or drop in to see the IT Training team for help.

At completion, you will be awarded the nationally recognised EqualSkills qualification by the British Computer Society.
