Grosvenor House

Welcome to Grosvenor House studios.

Grosvenor House was recently converted from a Victorian office building into a purpose-built residence. The residence is unique within LSE accommodation in that all of its 169 rooms are self-contained studios, with private toilet and shower facilities and a mini-kitchen.

During the academic year, we have a wide variety of residents living at Grosvenor House; these include students of all nationalities. You will appreciate that with nearly 220 residents living in close proximity it is important that everyone is considerate of his or her fellow residents. My primary concern as Senior Resident is to ensure that students living here are happy and free from trouble. Please contact me or one of the sub-wardens if you experience any problems during your stay at Grosvenor House. As part of this job, we also encourage people to abide by the LSE regulations and guidelines for living in communal accommodation.

We hope your tenure at Grosvenor House is an enjoyable one and look forward to meeting you throughout the year.

If you have suggestions as to how things can be improved, please feel free to contact Sarah Jons: s.jons@lse.ac.uk  (Service Manager- based at High Holborn) or Trevor Murtagh: Grosvenor.Warden@lse.ac.uk  (Senior Resident - based at Grosvenor House). Alternatively, you may talk to a Sub-warden, who can relay the information to us.

As with any major city, central London can be a dangerous place and so we urge you to read the LSE Staying Safe (PDF) booklet,  copies of which can be found at reception. We are constantly looking at ways to improve your safety. Please ensure you keep your room doors locked and make sure that the entrance doors are closed after you, and report any suspicious occurrences to security.
