What we do

Representing your interests, giving you advice on living in London, divulging last minute study tips, recommending clubbing, organising Pilates / yoga, organising hall parties and video nights, buying your requested DVDs and games, helping with extra mattresses for guests - this is just the beginning of what we do…

Elected every February, we are your committee and ready to help in any way we can.

At least one of us is usually pottering about the hall somewhere if you need any help at all, or speak to Reception and they will get in touch with one of us. Any mail for the committee can be left at Reception.

Who we are

President - Danielle Priestley

President - Danielle Preistley

Hello there! My name’s Danni and I’m this year’s president. That means I represent your views to the Hall management and to the higher powers at the LSE. I sit on the Resident’s User Group, Bar Working Group and the Catering User Group where I can rant about anything of interest to us at Carr-Saunders and hopefully make some positive changes for us all. So it’s basically my job to make sure what you want – you get. You’ll find me hanging around the common room or the bar, and if not I’ll be on the end of some new fangled technology like phone or email. It’s not all serious of course, I’m allowed to have fun too – join me in working hard – then playing hard!

Hello everybody!!! My role as Treasurer is to manage the funds of the hall committee, which comes from your common room fees. I work with the other members of the committee to help ensure that you enjoy your time here at Carr-Saunders. By paying for items such as the pool table, newspapers, and parties, I aim to maximise your experience in halls. Feel free to contact me for any suggestions on improving your time at Carr-Saunders. I’m usually loitering around in the common room or the bar.

Welfare Officer - Sarah Shemilt

Welfare Officer - Sarah Shemilt

Hey everyone, I'm Sarah your welfare officer and I want you to have a great time at Carr-Saunders but I am also here to make sure that it is safe in every way, so if you need to know anything or just want to come and talk to me then you will obviously be more than welcome. Other than being someone to offload all your problems to, other reasons you can come and see me are for personal attack alarms, condoms, sanitary products, first aid but only for minor injuries, mattresses for when friends stay over and leaflets giving advice on issues including health, drugs and alcohol. So if you are ever in need of anything of this sort then you know who to ask and if you think there is anything else you would like me to be doing for your welfare then let me know and I shall see what I can do!
