Hall rules and information
The purpose of these pages is to set out the minimum number of rules that are needed within the hall of residence to secure a civilised standard of community life. All residents must abide by these rules, as they undertook to do when they applied for, and accepted, a place at Bankside House.
In addition to its status as a set of house rules, these pages provide helpful information to residents about the organisation and structure of Bankside House. All new residents should therefore make time in the first week of the Michaelmas Term to read them carefully: partly because they will answer a number of questions that you will have in mind when you arrive, and partly because of the old principle that 'ignorance of the law is no defence!' They should also be read alongside the basic contract you will have signed when you took on your room, which contains basic LSE rules that cover all the residences in common.
So please remember - there will be many things in your degree course that may not immediately be very interesting to read about but are nevertheless very important to know. These pages are the first of these. |
