Creative Partnerships: New forms of Creative Education

Creative Partnerships, based at the Arts Council England, wishes to commission a series of research projects from 2004-2008 to investigate, describe and analyse both the theory and practice of new forms of creative education, and the nature of the interventions made by Creative Partnerships.

These research projects will complement the large-scale surveys being undertaken to evaluate the overall impact and effectiveness of Creative Partnerships. Proposals should be situated within Creative Partnerships areas and schools and to directly involve their stakeholders.  Applications for projects outside of Creative Partnerships areas can be considered, but a strong justification would need to be made for this within the proposal.

This call aims to encourage original inventive accounts of creative learning and teaching and/or creative learning and teaching initiatives. These accounts need to engage directly with stakeholders and educational practitioners. They need to advance our theoretical understanding of the issues and they need to be securely rooted in contemporary literature showing how they add to the existing knowledge base.

The research projects will necessarily offer a wide range of issues and analyses at different levels and of different scope. Together they will combine to form a unique grounded picture of the variety and inventiveness of Creative Partnerships and offer models of the teaching, learning and administrative processes which underpin such practice.

Further details can be found on the Creative Partnerships website: http://www.creative-partnerships.com/researchandevaluation/57207

There is no closing date for applications.  Applications can be submitted at any time throughout the year and must address the research themes.

RPDD will be pleased to assist colleagues with applications.
