The Economic and Social Research Council is intensifying its efforts to support knowledge transfer and high impact research under its 2008-11 ESRC delivery plan. Grant applicants will now be required to show how they will "engage with users and to generate and demonstrate impact from the outset, throughout and following the whole research process" if their bids are to be successful.
