During 2003-4 a PPG team headed by Professor Dunleavy and including Professor Martin Loughlin (Law Department, LSE) worked on a new project for NAO called Citizen Redress which examines the workings of complaints, appeals and tribunals systems across UK and English central government
The Government Office for London commissioned Professor Dunleavy and Dr Margetts to devise new electoral systems for electing the London Mayor and the Greater London Assembly. The electoral systems devised were implemented in government legislation approved by a London referendum in 1999, and operated successfully for the first time in May 2000 and for the second time in June 2004
Professor Dunleavy has recently consulted on the implementation of a new electoral system in a major Middle East country.
