The London School of Economics and Political Science and Peking University, two of the world’s leading institutions for teaching and research, continue their winning collaboration in jointly delivering this their fifth Summer School.

All courses are taught in English by world experts in Accounting and Finance, Economics, International Relations, Law and Management. Specific courses include an economic analysis of the ‘miracle’ of Chinese growth and examination of international relations since the end of the Cold War. LSE academics teaching at the school include Dr Fei Qin and Professors Michael Cox, Arne Westad and Francis Snyder.

While most of the expected 150 participants in the two-week Summer School are undergraduate and postgraduate students, some 20% comprise professionals.

Dr Gabi Lombardo, Deputy Head of Academic Partnerships at LSE, said: ‘The Summer School is a unique opportunity to undertake first-class study in Beijing, one of the world’s most exciting cities. The Programme is one of the achievements of the successful relationship between LSE and Peking University, which is based on mutual respect and genuine collaboration.’

The programme also gives students the chance to experience Chinese culture with visits to the Great Wall, Peking Opera and traditional theatre arranged as optional extras.
