Scholarship Programme

Introduction
The Paul Woolley Centre Scholarships Programme aims to support students pursuing postgraduate research in the areas covered by The Paul Woolley Centre research agenda. The Scholarships are awarded in June each year to maximum number of 3 outstanding PhD students who have been admitted to the PhD programme of the Finance Department or the Economics Department of the London School of Economics.

The Scholarships will be awarded by a Scholarship Committee consisting of Dr Paul Woolley, The Paul Woolley Centre Director, Professor Dimitri Vayanos and the Financial Markets Group Director, Professor David Webb. The Scholarships will provide a stipend to support fees and/or living expenses. The amount of the award will depend on the number of students selected each year and their current financial position, but it could not exceed the standard LSE Scholarships, which include fees and a living allowance of up £13,000 per annum. The scholarships will be renewable on an annual basis after review. The Paul Woolley Centre Students will be based within the centre and the Financial Markets Group and will be expected to work closely with its staff and faculty.

The deadline for 2008-9 Scholarship applications was 23 May 2008. Please note applications are now closed.
