This seminar is a being organised jointly to incorporate two other events:
(a) the launch of the HomeWorkers Training Manual published by HomeworkersWorldwide. HWW is a Leeds based organisation which works with groups of women homebased workers in Eastern Europe, South and Central America. South, South East and East Asia. The Secretary of State for Development Hilary Benn is going to officially introduce the manual
(b) a Round table on Key Challenges for Development Research on Women an Work in the 21st Century. This is sponsored by the IDS at the University of Sussex, and will feed into their 40th anniversary conference in September 2006.
