Professor Andy Gouldson is Director of the Sustainability Research Institute (SRI) at the University of Leeds. An interdisciplinary environmental social scientist, his research focuses on the design, delivery and impact of environmental policy, on the emerging influence of new forms of environmental governance and on business and the environment. He works closely with regulators, businesses, pressure groups and communities and particularly with the Environment Agency. Prior to joining SRI, Andy was Deputy Director of CEPG at LSE and Programme Director for the LSE-Alcoa Research Programme on Good Governance and Corporate Sustainability. He remains a Visiting Fellow in CEPG and has been a Visiting Professor at the Centre for Urban Planning and Environmental Management at the University of Hong Kong since 2002.
