Sustainable Construction

The Centre for Environmental Policy and Governance at the London School of Economics and Political Science has been awarded funds from the Higher Education Funding Council for England, under its Higher Education Innovation Fund for a major project on sustainable construction and planning in London, running from August 2004 for two years. The remit of the funding scheme centres on the dissemination and use of research to facilitate better communication links and knowledge transfer between universities, industry, commerce, professions and policy makers. The SusCon project embodies this aim in its particular intent to facilitate the connection between London’s planning practitioners and social science research on sustainable construction and planning.
