Financial systems - APTOS
What is APTOS?APTOS is the School's accounting system. Basically it records and processes all of the School's income, expenditure, assets and liabilities. It is written by a company called BPlan-UK who are based in Basingstoke. Who needs access to APTOS?There are two types of access to APTOS: Firstly, there is access for the staff that need to process transactions into the system. These staff will be within Finance, the Research and Contracts Office or one of the devolved areas that raise their own sales invoices. Secondly, in the majority of cases, there are the staff that have financial responsibilities within the School (budget/grant holders and controllers). These staff need to run reports to be able to monitor their budgets/grants. The reports are run in a user friendly template from within Excel and the staff do not need to access APTOS directly for routine information. How do I get access?If you are already a Statements4 user, USER IDs can be issued on receipt of a written request (an email is sufficient) sent to Aptos@lse.ac.uk.
