Paying Fees - How to Pay
Page contents >
Methods of Payment Accepted by LSE
There are several means to pay your fees. Even if you have said one type on your Personal Payment Plan, you can still use other methods but make sure to pay in the correct months, or earlier.
Credit Cards
Credit cards are the fastest and easiest way to pay. You can pay by card on-line. A receipt is sent immediately by email and LSE receives the money the following morning. Before registration you should use this link and quote your application number. This what we use if you send us your credit card details.

After registration you should use your login to LSEforYOU
Cheques
You can pay by personal cheque. It must be from a UK bank and in £sterling. A cashier's check is OK but ask your bank to ensure it is drawn on a UK bank. A bank draft is OK but ask your bank to ensure it is drawn on a UK bank.
Cheques may be posted to the Fees Office. You can also go to the Student Service Centre and pay at the counter or put the cheque in the drop-box. There are usually long lines at the Student Service Centre during Registration, so we recommend you use post or the drop-box.
Please write your student/applicant number on the back of every cheque.
Direct Debit
If you have a UK bank account, you can pay by direct debit. This allows LSE to draw one fifth (1/5) of your fees directly from your bank account in each month starting in November and finishing in March. Go to the forms page and download the form and send it to the Fees Office.
Bank Transfers & Wires
You can transfer money direct to the LSE bank account. For full details of the account, go to the Forms page and download the form. When you make your transfer, please send the form to the Fees Offuce to help us to identify your transfer.
