About the course

Making decisions is both an art and a science which, properly learned, could increase the value of your budget by 30 per cent. Managing conflicting objectives effectively, dealing with uncertainty, considering trade-offs among projects and increasing the transparency of decisions are usually the drivers for this improvement in decision quality. Reflecting on these challenges, this course will provide analytical methods for arriving at more effective decisions. The focus will be on evaluating and appraising options, developing budgets and allocating resources effectively.

Who should attend

Participants in this course will be executives and managers from the private and public sectors facing complex decisions in their organisations. Those who are interested in systematic methods for more effective decision making will in particular benefit from this course. Participants will be invited to participate in discussions and share, where appropriate, experiences from their organisations to enable the group to explore decision making practices as they apply in a real environment in order to reach a higher level of decision capability in their organisations.
