Two new members of European Institute staff
The EI is pleased to announce two new members of staff who will be joining us from September 2008.
 Dr Jonathan White takes up the position of Lecturer in European Politics. Jonathan spent time at Oxford and Harvard before completing his doctorate at the European University Institute. His central interests are European political theory and European political sociology and he has work forthcoming in the British Journal of Political Science.
 Dr Marco Simoni has been awarded a three-year British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship. Marco completed his PhD The Renegotiated Alliance between the Left and Organised Labour in Western Europe at the EI in 2006. He was awarded the Juan J. Linz Prize by the Centre for Political and Constitutional Studies in Madrid for the best thesis in Political Science completed in English or Spanish within the European Union, in March 2008. Marco is currently based in the EI as an LSE Fellow in European Political Economy.
