Thames Water Works on Campus - Summer 2008 (Page updated 4th April 2008)

Thames Water continue the laying of new water pipes in the campus area in the summer months.

The following is a list of affected areas :

Portsmouth Street             Early June
Sheffield Street                 Mid June
Portugal Street                 Early July
Clare Market                    Mid July
Clements Inn Passage       Late July - Early August
Houghton Street               Mid August
New Inn Passage              Late August

These areas can be viewed on a map.

The works themselves will involve taking up the highway surface, digging an open cut trench, laying new PVC mains, backfilling and surface reinstatement. The trench and working area will be cordoned off with herras fencing during the works.
