Getting assistance

By considering whether your request is really an emergency before you phone the Help Desk, you will help to ensure that real emergencies are dealt with quickly and efficiently.  The vast majority of requests can and should be submitted via the Standard Request Form. 

Standard maintenance requests

Use the Service Request forms to request the following maintenance jobs:

• Repairs to cupboards, desks, doors and shelves
• Replacing lights or fittings
• Ordering desk lamps
• Ordering electrical sockets or data points
• Removing signage
• Refuse collection
• Ordering keys and/or locks

Emergency maintenance requests

Call the Help Desk on extension 2444 for immediate assistance with the following urgent maintenance jobs:

• Power failures
• Plumbing problems including blockages, leaks or floods
• Lift faults or passengers trapped in a lift
• Health and safety hazards or anything likely to cause injury
• Missing or damaged facilities in the kitchens and toilets
• Cleaning of kitchens and toilets only
• Pest control
