Employment Relations

Thank you for visiting the Employment Relations web pages, which are designed to inform you about where to find information on how to manage work relationships as positively as possible and who to go to if you need further help.

The Employment Relations team is responsible for keeping you up to date with new and forthcoming employment legislation. It is the purpose of the team to help in the compliance with current basic and complex employment law through the development of policies, seminar briefings, training and one-to-one management coaching. The team also welcomes helping you to prepare for and manage change e.g. new ways of working, restructuring, funding variations and outsourcing respectively.

For full contact details, please see Who's who - Employment Relations. Please do contact us for advice, ideally before any problems develop, and as soon as possible if resolution of problems is necessary.

What's new

New: In line with the School's commitment to supporting staff with disabilities and managing sickness absence, occupational health services will now be provided by Nexus Healthcare, where appropriate. Nexus will assess employees fitness to work, when instigated by managers, in liaison with the Employment Relations Team.

Important: The Grievance, Disciplinary, Capability and Capability-Health procedures have been updated and are now available on the Employment Relations website.
