Cities Programme

The Cities Programme is an international centre dedicated to the understanding of contemporary urban society. Its central objective is to relate physical structure to the social structure of cities.

The programme offers degree courses at the MSc and PhD level. It hosts public events with design professionals, academics, city leaders and policy makers.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS:

The Cities Programme is seeking to appoint up to three part-time Tutorial Fellows for the academic year 2008/09 to work on the City Design Research Studio within the MSc City Design and Social Science.  See Studio Tutorial Fellows for details (application deadline 21st July).

The second issue of Cities News (July 2008) with the latest news from Cities Programme staff and students is now available to  read or download.

The 2007-08 MSc City Design and Social Science Research Studio publication Outer City is now available to download from this site.

Winner of the 2008-09 James Stirling Memorial Lecture on the City Competition is announced.
