Forums Forums require no registration so you can just turn up Forums are always busy, so arrive early if you wish to get a seat.
Skills Sessions Alumni cannot attend skills sessions
Presentations If you wish to attend a company presentation and there is a need to register for the event register, you'll need to check with the company (not us) that it is ok to do so. If the company have not asked for registration you can just turn up but remember, these events are organised entirely by the employer, not the Careers Service, so we can't accept responsibility if the event is full.
December graduation
Q: What if I've finished my course, but not yet graduated. Can I still use the careers service?
A: In the majority of cases, yes! However, some of our events are driven by the needs and preferences of recruiters who are targeting particular groups of students. The only events that you won't be able to attend are skills sessions and selected careers fairs. This is because recruiters use particular events to target students who are least a year away from graduation, and because there are relatively few spaces. We also have to give priority to those students who've not had an opportunity to book these events in the past. ^
