The Basics - appointment booking

Appointments are placed online at 9.30am, one day at a time, Monday - Thursday. 

You cannot book an appointment in advance.  (Why is this? - see Appointment FAQs)

You can only book 4 appointments per term (any combination of CV checks or careers advice,  not 4 of each)

You must only book ONE appointment per day. 

Book a CV Check for CV/cover letters, careers advice for everything else, including application forms.

To book

• Click here:  My Careers Service
• Log in as a 'Student' using your LSE username and password
• Choose 'Book an appointment with an adviser'.
• Choose 'Careers Advice' or 'CV/Cover letter check' for a CV check (Michaelmas and Lent only) and click 'Next'
• Tick the relevant discussion topic boxes - but quickly!
  (These topics are meant as an approximate guide.)
• Select your appointment time from the list of available appointments and click 'Finish'. You will receive an email confirmation shortly.
• Come to the Careers Service reception desk, Tower 3, Floor 6 shortly before your appointment time.

Careers Service events

The basics:

• Careers fairs
• Recruiter in residence
• Employer-led Skills Sessions
• Careers Service Lunchtime Seminars (CV / Application Forms / Interviews / Assessment Centres)

To attend you must book a place first, using the My Careers Service
Places for these events will be released ONE WEEK prior to the event, at 5pm.

Employer presentations

Booking for employer presentations varies, but normally you will have to register directly with the employer via email or on their website. We will provide details of employer presentation booking as soon as we have the information - on our Events calendar and on the Online Booking System.

My profile

To be first in line for booking dates and information about employer presentations, fairs, skills sessions and any other Careers Service events, register your interests on the Online Booking system via the 'My Profile' option.

When you log in, choose 'My profile' to create and update your personal careers profile. We can then send you emails about relevant careers service events or vacancies.
