Changes to the International Graduate Scheme (IGS) The Home Office have announced the introduction of a new points-based immigration tier system. The IGS scheme has now been replaced by the post-study work visa, Tier 1 of the points based system, which enables international students graduating with a bachelors or higher degree to apply for a visa to work in the UK for up to 2 years.
