LSE Photo Prize Exhibition

Introduction:

Following on from the success of last year’s Photography Competition, this year’s open exhibition has been selected by Julian Stallabrass (Reader at The Courtauld Institute of Art), Nigel Stead (School Photographer at LSE), Mick Williamson (Senior Lecturer in Photography, London Metropolitan University) and promises to showcase a wide-range of photography produced by staff and students at LSE.

This year’s exhibition attracted more than 30 entrants who submitted over 140 photographs. 45 photographs taken by 20 entrants were finally selected. The selected work cover a variety of photographic styles including portraiture, landscape and documentary. Prizes were awarded to four works included in the exhibition and presented by
Professor Sarah Worthington during the reception on Wednesday 20 February 2008.

The reception was a massive success, many thanks to everyone who came. The four prize winning photos along with shots from the event can be seen here.
