Academic research on the arts and culture

Various LSE academics are engaged in research connected with arts and culture. See Experts for more details but here are some highlights:

• Andy Pratt, Geography and Environment, works on 'creative clusters'
• David Lane, Operational Research, has worked on organising the Notting Hill Carnival and is currently investigating international distribution processes for movies
• Dr Francesca Borgonovi, STICERD, researches into social exclusion and participation in the arts
• LSE Cities Programme is co-hosting a series of six lectures with the Royal Academy of Arts in which leading architects and planners discuss the importance of good design in the contemporary city. See Events.
