Note: some of the courses courses listed as compulsory for the BA/BSc Social Anthropology are also available as options for the BA Anthropology and Law. The BA Anthropology and Law also includes compulsory and optional courses from the Law Department. Please see the Programme Regulations for further information.

Taught Masters Modules

* It is compulsory for MSc Social Anthropology students to take one full unit from: AN402 or AN405 or AN450 or AN451 or AN452
** It is compulsory for MSc Anthropology of Learning and Cognition students to take either AN402 or AN405

* AN460 Taiwan in Comparative Perspective is optional for students on the MSc China in Comparative Perspective. Students on other programmes must seek special permission from their Tutor and Programme Director in order to take the course.
