Changes to the Department of Accounting and Finance

LSE’s governing body, Council, and the Academic Board have agreed that the current Department of Accounting and Finance should be replaced by two new Departments: the Department of Accounting and the Department of Finance. These changes came into effect from 1 August 2007.

After 1 August, the administration currently operated by the Department of Accounting and Finance will become the responsibility of the new departments, as follows:

The Head of Department for the new Department of Accounting will be Professor Peter Miller, who has been Head of the Accounting Group for the last 3 years. Before this, he was the Head of Department for the Department of Accounting and Finance for 5 years. A Departmental Manager for Accounting has been recruited and will be joining shortly.

The Head of Department for the Department of Finance will be Professor Ron Anderson, who has been the Head of Department for the Department of Accounting and Finance and the Head of the Finance Group for last 3 years. The Departmental Manager will be Ms Osmana Raie.
