MSc Accounting and Finance

This degree leads to a Masters of Science in Accounting and Finance. Students typically take four taught courses, with examinations at the end of the academic year.

The programme is designed for students interested in a career in business, consulting or government. It also provides a thorough preparation for academic research in accounting or finance.

You may emphasise either accounting or finance in your choice of courses, or may opt for a more balanced programme. Through course selection you will be able to specialise in one of the following areas:

  • Accounting and financial management
  • International accounting and finance
  • Finance

Given the high level of academic performance expected from students, a significant amount of independent study and preparation is required for successful completion of the programme.

More information about this degree can be found in the MSc Accounting and Finance programme brochure (PDF) or on the MSc Accounting and Finance page in the Graduate Prospectus.

Duration

  • Full-time: one academic year (or one calendar year if an option examined in September is chosen)
  • Part-time: at least two academic years (or two calendar years if an option examined in September is chosen)
