Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (National University of Singapore)
The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP) at the National University of Singapore is the only public policy school in Southeast Asia. Among the many strengths of the School is a diverse faculty drawn from all over the world. An equally diverse student population from all over Asia and beyond provides a rich and lively learning environment inside and outside the classroom, as well as opportunities for forming lasting international friendships. There are currently about 300 full-time students, 10 percent are Singaporeans.
Currently, the School confers three Master degrees: a Master in Public Policy; a Master in Public Administration: and a Master in Public Management. While the curricula of the three degree programmes are similar to those offered in other leading schools of public policy around the world, they are also outstanding for their emphasis on the public policy experiences of Asian countries and the critical challenges facing them. Since its launch in 2004, LKYSPP has established a respected track record in providing a first-rate public policy education and access to the public policy experiences of Singapore and Asia.
In 2007 LKYSPP has joined LSE, Columbia University and Sciences Po as institutional partner of the Global Public Policy Network. On the teaching side it has joined the unique Dual MPA programme whereby students - if successful in their application - spend the second year of their MPA or MPP studies at one of the partner institutions.
