The Teaching Quality Assurance and Review Office conducts three surveys in each academic year of students' opinions of teaching:

  • Michaelmas Term Survey of Teaching by Part-Time Class Teachers
    This survey is intended to cover teaching by hourly-paid class teachers, who are mostly but not exclusively postgraduate students and is conducted in week 7 or 8 of the Michaelmas Term;
  • Michaelmas Term Survey of Course Teaching
    This covers all teaching on courses that do not run for the full academic year and so will be completed before the main survey takes place in the Lent Term. This is also conducted in week 9 or 10 of the Michaelmas Term;
  • Lent Term Survey of Course Teaching
    This covers all teaching on all assessed courses and is conducted in week 9 or 10 of the Lent Term.
