Authoring a PhD and Developing as a Researcher

This course forms the core of the LSE academic and professional development programme for PhD students, and is organised in 3 strands: for students at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of their PhD respectively. Each strand offers a menu of workshops designed to support you in the process of planning, researching, organising and producing your thesis as well as fostering the development of the broader professional skills that are generated by working towards a PhD.

The workshops in the course use a mixture of group and individual work and are led by teams of skilled facilitators and experienced academics. Booking is essential for each individual workshop that you wish to attend, and should be done on-line at PhD students events or by selecting and clicking on the event listed below.

See Authoring a PhD Resources to download presentations and other information from the workshops.

See Other TLC workshops for PhD students for information on workshops outside this core programme.
