Special Teaching Programmes Unit (STPU)

The Special Teaching Programmes Unit (STPU) manages non-standard LSE teaching programmes such as the London Summer School and the External Programme. It also develops new initiatives such as the LSE-KBTU Programme, which are academically and strategically important to the School.

While the programmes may appear to be diverse in character, they share many common features. They maintain LSE's standards for academic excellence, and are interdisciplinary and internationally orientated with a focus on relevance. They widen the profile of those studying at LSE, and manage the process of taking LSE faculty, expertise and philosophy to significant regions of the world.
