WELCOME

The Migration Studies Unit (MSU) was founded by research students and academics in the Spring of 2007 at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where the Unit is based.

The MSU promotes the cross-disciplinary study of migration. Led by the efforts of students and academics working together, the Unit engages and offers a network for scholars concerned with migration studies — taking advantage of growing interest in the field and a unique location in the cosmopolitan crossroads of London.

Specifically, the MSU seeks to:
  • Establish, through its membership, an international and multi-disciplinary network of scholars interested in migration
  • Stimulate debate on migration studies through lectures, conferences, research seminars and a graduate reading group
  • Share resources with MSU members through a mailing list and events bulletin
