Welcome to the webpage for the LSE Parents Network.
The LSE Parents Network is a group that provides staff with children (and those expecting or planning to start a family) with opportunities to discuss and address issues of work-life balance that may be of concern to them. The Network is run on a voluntary basis by staff for staff.
News We now have a room on the first floor of the Parish Hall, where expectant mothers can put their feet up and rest and where staff who are still breast-feeding and returning to work can express and store milk. In particular, LSE Parents Network:
Provides parents with the opportunity to have a dedicated mentor who can offer support and advice to staff preparing for and returning from maternity or paternity leave.
Encourages a broader awareness of maternity and paternity policies and related matters.
Has worked with Health & Safety to provide a private, specially equipped room for expectant and breastfeeding mothers MORE.
Hosts a series of lunch-time talks on family-related topics.
Hosts at least one informal lunch-time meeting per term for any interested staff across the School to come and meet with other LSE parents.
