As parents and guardians of current LSE students, we are delighted to welcome you to the global LSE community. The Friends and Family programme aims to connect families of current students with the School by welcoming you to the campus when your student first arrives, keeping you up to date with the latest news from LSE and giving you an opportunity to become involved actively in the LSE community.

For more information on the Friends & Family programme please contact Kirsty Ramage on +44 (0)20 7107 5276. Membership and its accompanying benefits are free.
The Friends and Family committee acts as a liaison between parents, students and the School. It helps to promote the School and the interests of the students and ensures, in conjunction with alumni and other members of the LSE community, that LSE is able to offer a rewarding experience to its students.
I am honoured to have the opportunity to lead the LSE Friends and Family programme. I am also grateful to the other parents who have agreed to volunteer their time by serving on the board of the Friends and Family programme. We hope this programme will serve as your link to the School and help you establish your own relationship with LSE.

Undergraduate degree classification
The examiners for each course determine a numerical mark for your student based on a scale of honours class or division, and fail grades.
In order to be considered for a degree, your student must have attempted and completed every element of the assessment for courses to the value of 12 course units. The exceptions are Bachelors of Laws students and second year direct entry candidates.
The Friends and Family Newsletter is sent twice a year to all members of the Friends and Family Programme where we have a current postal address. If you are a member and would like to write an article for the newsletter, please contact Kirsty Ramage.
Friends and family have had a great impact on the lives of students at LSE through contributions to the Annual Fund. Donations from members of the programme helped to refurbish the library lobby, providing a safe, accessible and functional space for students to take a break from studying.
Generosity from friends and families has also helped provide scholarships, hardship bursaries, research grants and sports facilities for students. For more information on the Annual Fund, please follow the links below:
