GPPN Governing Structure

The GPPN is governed by an Executive Board composed of the heads of the Member Institutions and one senior administrator from each of the GPPN Member Institutions. The Executive Board meets formally at least once a year.

Columbia University

Columbia is one of the world's most important centres of research and at the same time a distinctive and distinguished learning environment for undergraduates and graduate students in many scholarly and professional fields.
The University recognizes the importance of its location in New York City and seeks to link its research and teaching to the vast resources of a great metropolis. It seeks to attract a diverse and international faculty and student body, to support research and teaching on global issues, and to create academic relationships with many countries and regions. It expects all areas of the university to advance knowledge and learning at the highest level and to convey the products of its efforts to the world.

London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)

The LSE is a world class centre for its concentration of teaching and research across the full range of the social, political and economic sciences. Founded in 1895, LSE has an outstanding reputation for academic excellence.
It is unique in combining a highly international staff and student community with a teaching and research focus exclusively on the social sciences, and in particular on their application to real-world problems and issues. From its foundation LSE has aimed to be a place where ideas are developed, analysed, evaluated and disseminated around the globe.

Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore

The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKY) was established in 2004 with the mission of educating and training the next generation of Asian policymakers and leaders. Its objectives are to raise the standards of governance throughout the region, improve the lives of the region’s people and, in so doing, contribute to the transformation of Asia. Situated in Singapore, a neutral observation ground to witness the historic rise of Asia, the School is thus in the right place at the right time.

Sciences Po, Paris: Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris

Sciences Po, Paris was founded in 1872 as an independent alternative to the weighty university establishment of the day. It has, through many transformations, remained true to one goal: providing innovative, responsive, well-grounded education for leadership and service.
Sciences Po is neither strictly a business school nor a school for public servants. It functions as a selective research university in the international sense of the term, bridging the worlds of academia and public affairs in order to offer the analytical and leadership skills required by future leaders around the globe.

Membership

There is no intention for GPPN to increase its membership before October 2009, after which the Executive Board will review its current membership and consider whether to invite additional institutions to join.
An institution may become a Member Institution of GPPN by unanimous agreement of the Executive Board, after appropriate discussion and due diligence.
