Nanetti, Raffaella (Professor) - Professor of Urban Planning and Policy, College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs (UPP), University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) She served as UPP director and is now director of the UIC London Program. She teaches courses in two areas of specialisation: international development and community development, for both Masters and doctoral students. Professor Nanetti was a member of Robert D Putnam's three person research team (along with Dr Robert Leonardi), which empirically derived the concept of social capital from a longitudinal study of regional governments and development in Italy. Paraskevoupoulos, Christos (Dr) - Research Fellow He has written on social capital, European integration and EU regional policy in various academic journals and edited volumes in the UK, US and Greece. He has published articles in West European Politics, Government and Opposition, Regional and Federal Studies, Current Politics and Economics of Europe, Greek Political Science Review, Greek Review of Social Research, and TOPOS Review of Urban and Regional Studies.
