Research within BIOS explores the range of social, political, legal, economic, geographical, philosophical and ethical issues in developments in the life sciences and biomedicine, with an emphasis on national differences, on new transnational, economic and geopolitical relations, on issues of social justice, power and inequality, and on their implications for global relations and personal and social identities.
