Information
on how to access IR Public Folders containing Course Materials
The IR Public Folders
can be accessed both from LSE network computers and elsewhere providing
you have an LSE email address.
They contain various
materials placed there by some course tutors, usually as Microsoft Word
2000 documents, for you to view and download.
You can get to the
IR Pubic Folders as follows:
On an LSE
network computer:
- Open MS Outlook
(the email program).
- From the Inbox,
click on Public Folders/All Public Folders/Departments/International
Relations/Course Materials and any subdirectory.
- Double click
on the document you want. This will then automatically open
in MS Word. You can then print it out or use 'Save As' to save
it to a disk.
On a remote
computer (or an LSE computer):
- Connect to the
internet and go to LSE page at http://exchange.lse.ac.uk/intro.htm
- Log in to your
LSE email account as directed.
- Once you are
logged into your Inbox, click on the 'Public Folders' icon on the
left.
- Click on Departments/International
Relations/Course Materials and any subdirectory.
- Double click
on the document you want. You will then be immediately asked
to save it to a hard or floppy disk. Then you can read or print
it out at will.
